Home Services Marketing Measured in Booked Jobs, Not Clicks
Home services marketing is the mix of Google Business Profile, Local Services Ads, Google Ads and local SEO that gets an HVAC, plumbing, roofing or contracting company called by homeowners who need the work done now. CFS Marketing builds that mix around call tracking first, so every channel is judged by the jobs it books, not the clicks it buys.

CFS Marketing is a senior-led SEO, AI search and Google Ads consultancy founded by Cesar Soto in 2022, serving growth-focused businesses from Irving, Texas. This page is for home service and construction companies with a defined service area that are ready to invest in a monthly retainer.
01
What Does Home Services Marketing Include at CFS Marketing?
Home services marketing at CFS Marketing includes five pieces, run as one system:
- Call and form tracking on every number and page, so each booked job traces back to a channel.
- Google Business Profile: categories, services, service areas, photos and a steady review request process.
- Local Services Ads where Google offers them for your trade. You pay per lead, not per click, and can dispute invalid leads.
- Google Ads Search for high-intent searches like "AC repair near me," with negative keywords and ad schedules set around when your crews can respond.
- Local SEO: a page for each core service, and service-area pages only where the demand is real.
02
Which Channels Matter Most for Each Trade?
The right channel mix depends on how urgent the job is and how much it's worth.
| Trade | How homeowners buy | Where we start | Detail page |
|---|---|---|---|
| HVAC | Urgent repairs plus seasonal maintenance and replacements | Search ads, LSA, Google Business Profile | HVAC marketing |
| Plumbing | Mostly urgent, often after hours | LSA, call-focused Search ads, local SEO | Plumbing marketing |
| Roofing | High-ticket, often after storms, with comparison shopping | Search ads with tight geo and negative keywords | Roofing PPC |
| General and specialty contractors | Planned projects, longer research | SEO, project pages, reviews | Contractor SEO |
03
Why Does Call Tracking Come First?
Call tracking comes first because most home service leads arrive by phone, and a channel you can't measure can't be managed. Without it, Google Ads optimizes toward whatever it's told counts as a conversion, often a button tap rather than a booked call.
Reported numbers can drift far from reality. At a trade school we took over, 1,462 reported conversions matched zero real leads in the school's form database; after we rebuilt the tracking, the account produced 88 verified leads from June to December 2025. That client is in education, but the lesson carries straight over. Our GA4 and conversion tracking page covers the audit.

Do You Have Home Services Results?
We don't have a published home services case study yet. Here is how we'd run it and what we've done in adjacent work:
- Local listings at scale. As an in-house SEO Specialist at a hospital network (2019 to 2020), Cesar optimized 2,000+ Google Business Profile locations, set up 200 new listings and managed 500 locations through Yext.
- Service-business site structure. As in-house Director of Marketing at a B2B facility services company (2026), he restructured the site around 11 service pages, updating 11,000+ internal links with zero post-crawl errors.
- Lead-gen Google Ads. For a bankruptcy law firm, cost per conversion fell every year from 2022 to 2025. See the case studies.
05
Who Is a Good Fit?
A good fit is a home service or construction company with a defined service area, crews that can take more work, and someone who answers the phone. For paid search, that means spending $3,000 or more a month on Google Ads, or being ready to.
It's not a fit if you can't yet sustain a monthly retainer, or if you want shared leads from a lead marketplace.
06
What Does It Cost?
Work runs on a monthly retainer scoped to the channels and fixes you need, with ad spend billed separately. Cesar quotes after reviewing your accounts.
Home Services Marketing FAQ
The plan quiz takes about a minute, and you only share an email at the end.
Get my custom planShould a home service business run Local Services Ads or Google Ads?
Often both. Local Services Ads charge per lead and sit at the top of many local searches, while Google Ads Search gives more control over keywords, ad copy and landing pages. CFS Marketing tests them side by side and compares cost per booked job.
Do I need a page for every city I serve?
No. A service-area page only earns its place when people in that area search for your service and the page has something specific to say. Thin, name-swapped city pages tend to underperform and can drag the rest of the site down.
Do you have a home services case study?
Not yet. CFS Marketing's published client results are in legal and education. For home services we bring the method, Cesar's in-house experience managing Google Business Profile listings at scale, and the tracking discipline behind our case studies.
Can you guarantee a number of leads or jobs?
No. CFS Marketing does not guarantee leads, jobs or rankings, because Google runs the auction and the search results. We commit to clean tracking, a written target cost per lead and monthly reports in your numbers.
